Welcome to the “Songs of Hope” Singer/songwriter Concert Series website!
Please mark the dates on your calendar and join us at the “2nd Street Garage” for some fun evenings of songs and stories that just may spark a renewed sense of hope for you...all the while helping some compassionate organizations continue to inspire hope in needy individuals within our community.
Let the countdown begin...
... to "Songs of Hope" concert #3!
It all started last year with the idea to create a venue for local Christian singer/songwriters to share their musical gift with others while encouraging each other to keep fresh creativity flowing. So, I sent out a challenge to my talented songwriter friends to each write 3 new songs to share in a format similar to that presented at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville. “In the round” is a casual and intimate setting where 3 or 4 songwriters sit on the stage together and take turns sharing songs and stories with each other…more like a get together in someone’s living room. It was the first time for everyone in this type of concert format, including me, so it was amazing for me personally to watch the vision become a reality. I had imagined it would be good but was truly overwhelmed with gratitude as each evening unfolded with a theme of its own…seemingly tailor made for each unique audience. The series was a big hit last year, so here we are again, only this time we want to share the experience and reach out to those in our community who need a big dose of hope. Each concert is geared as a benefit for a local charitable organization. In October, please come out to support the Pregnancy Care Center (PCC) of Ogden. We are asking for a donation of $2 at the door, to help cover facility costs. However, if you know of someone who can’t afford $2, please let them know they are welcome! During the concert, a representative from the PCC will take 5 minutes to tell us about the services they offer, and there will be an opportunity to give as generously as you desire. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the PCC. The November concert will benefit the Ogden Christmas Box House, and in December we will be supporting the Ogden Rescue Mission.
We have a different mix of songwriters, with some first-timers as well as some who are joining us again. All are extremely talented and each has a unique style, so there will be something for everyone!
Please join our efforts in reviving hope within our community. You can contact me with any questions at wendy@songsofhope.info I look forward to meeting you and partnering together to reach our community. See you at the Garage!
Blessings,
Wendy J
